Jorge - Je me moque de vous is one of the finest examples from a series of surrealist portraits that Zeno painted in 1953-1954. Zeno's portraiture aimed to convey the true identity of her subject, from inside to outside, and thus the sitters personalities and characteristics are made manifest in her images. Zeno noted that Jorge - the sitter for this work - was incredibly intelligent, and so decided she to paint the grey matter flowing from his head. She observed that his overall personality, however, lacked insight, and that he questioned her work with a vain and superior manner. Her response was this - Je me moque de Vous.
