Cossette Zeno belongs to the predecessor group of women artists who explored and materialised feminist concerns
within their work. Ever since her beginnings at the UPR, one discovers an artist unabashed in her quest for self-acceptance and her treatment of female sexual desire. The myriad, undulating forms of the 'symbolic horse' in this watercolour feel feminine; no more so in the bottom left of the composition, where one can make out a woman's finger with a painted nail.
